Valerie has extensive experience of working with boards on strategic, people related issues. After graduating from Oxford, she began her career with KPMG and went on to become an internationally recognized headhunter, spending 11 years with Russell Reynolds Associates Inc and other leading firms before founding her own board advisory boutique. She now focuses on Corporate Governance, specifically Board Evaluation and Board Skills assessment. She is known for developing enduring professional relationships with business leaders based on her long experience, sound judgement and discretion. She takes pride in delivering a service which adds value and exceeds expectation, with high integrity and powerful communication. Over more than 30 years, Valerie has worked with clients ranging from private equity to FTSE 100 companies, European banks, SME’s and iconic institutions such as the Monarchy. Latterly she has focused on the asset management sector and investment trusts.
David Royston-Lee

David is an acknowledged international leadership adviser and coach, who combines one-to-one assessment with insightful psychological evaluations. His experience of working at the globally recognized international business school, IMD in Lausanne with leaders from worldwide corporates has enabled him to develop an approach to leadership that synchronises organisational and personal demands to produce top performance. David is a chartered business psychologist with a degree in economics, sociology and psychology and an Msc in occupational psychology. He is a member of the Institute of Personnel & Development, a founder member of the Association of Business Psychologists and a Freeman of the City of London. He began his career in recruitment prior to becoming Head of Career Management Services at KPMG. David became Human Resources Director of Ogilvy, and then Chief Executive of the Communications, Advertising & Marketing Foundation before working independently.
